The Crescent
Furniture manufacturing & engineering at Savannah College of Art & Design involved various classes one of which was SolidWorks during my first quarter at school. The final assignment was to design and model a chair considering the ergonomics, material and finish description and a final presentation of the quarter. This assignment was later also selected and submitted in the Bienenstock Design Competition.
About Crescent
Crescent is a chair that personifies an embrace, with a unique edgy two-component frame and warm, cosy suede upholstery. The design has been an inspiration from the smooth bows of a crescent moon and its sight that gives us all comfort and relaxation.
It has a rare oddity that gives that blends with modern possessions but gives a classic vibe. The bows of the crescent exude futuristic aesthetics with an inviting feel.
